A clear process.
A smooth handover.
This policy explains the process and charges that apply when a customer asks OVERTURES Infotech to transfer a domain name, website or email service to another service provider. It should be read together with the accepted quotation, service agreement and any terms imposed by the relevant domain registrar or third-party service provider.
OVERTURES Infotech shall charge the following fees in case of transfer out:
- Domain Only: Rs 18,000/- (Domain Key would be provided)
- Domain + (Website and Email): Rs 18,000/- + Rs 24,000/-
Submitting a transfer request
The request must be sent from an authorised customer contact to support@overturesinfotech.com. Please include the domain name, the services to be transferred, the receiving provider’s details and the preferred transfer date. We may ask for identity, ownership or account-authority verification before releasing credentials or data.
Account clearance and taxes
Transfer work will begin after the applicable transfer fees, taxes and all outstanding account amounts have been paid in full. GST or other taxes will be charged where applicable. Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, transfer-out fees are non-refundable once transfer preparation or handover work has started.
What the handover includes
For a domain-only transfer, OVERTURES will provide the domain authorisation key after the required checks and payment are complete, subject to registrar rules and any domain lock or mandatory waiting period. A website and email handover may include the customer’s available website files, database export and mailbox data in a reasonably available standard format. New hosting setup, software reconfiguration, DNS work, mailbox importing and support at the receiving provider are not included unless separately agreed.
Customer responsibilities
The customer is responsible for appointing the receiving provider, maintaining independent backups, providing correct destination details and confirming that the new environment can support the transferred services. Third-party licences, subscriptions, proprietary tools and services that cannot legally or technically be reassigned are excluded from the transfer.
Timing and service continuity
We will coordinate the handover in good faith after all requirements are met. Actual completion times may depend on the domain registrar, registry, receiving provider, data volume and third-party systems. DNS changes and email routing can take time to propagate, so temporary interruption may occur. Existing services should not be cancelled until the customer has verified the transfer.
Completion of transfer
After the customer or receiving provider confirms successful handover, OVERTURES may close the transferred services in accordance with the agreed date and applicable retention requirements. The customer should promptly verify the website, email accounts, DNS records and domain ownership details and report any handover issue in writing.
