How to choose
Tally on Cloud.

Evaluate the working environment, not only a monthly server price.

Reviewed 24 August 2026By OVERTURES InfotechFor Mumbai, Navi Mumbai & Thane businesses

The right Tally cloud setup matches concurrent use, data size, locations, connectivity, printing, security and recovery needs. Your Tally licence remains separate from the infrastructure used to run it.

Start with how the accounts team works

List every office, accountant, remote user and external adviser who needs access. Distinguish named users from people likely to work concurrently. Record company-data size, voucher volumes, connected applications, export routines, printers and peak periods. This prevents an environment being sized from user count alone.

Separate software licensing from cloud capacity

Tally licensing terms continue to apply in a hosted environment. Ask the provider to state separately what is supplied by Tally, what is supplied by the infrastructure, and what support covers. OVERTURES does not apply an infrastructure-based per-user limitation, but capacity and licensing must still suit actual use.

Test access, printing and recovery

Before migration, confirm connectivity from each important location and test typical workflows. Printing and local-device requirements need explicit validation. Agree backup frequency, retention, offsite separation and who requests a restore. A backup report is not a substitute for a successful restore test.

Migration checklist

  • Current Tally release, licence and renewal status
  • Number of concurrent users and office locations
  • Company-data size, integrations and exports
  • Internet reliability and secure access method
  • Backup retention and acceptable data loss
  • Migration window, validation owner and rollback plan
